I have forgotten that R.E.M. is Saturday night. Hmm... R.E.M. or
Bulldogs with the
old mates? It's a tough one. I might have to figure this out. Sorry
about
that, I just forgot.

You FORGOT R.E.M. was Saturday night?
I think that pretty much answers your question.
Seriously, I do not know what the world has come to.

Completely understandable. Normally I'd be right there with ya
(IF I
could get tickets). But I took Donna/Emmett to the Lucinda
Williams
show and that seemed a little too rockin' for the infant so I think
R.E.M. would be a madhouse. Although it sounds like an incredible
tour
filled with hits like Country Feedback and such. I'll just say
that I
didn't set the date for this one. I don't know what they were
thinking
going up against a Bulldog game AND R.E.M. It's like they're
trying to
thin out the ranks...
If you want to call on your cell from the show we'll give you Bulldog
score updates.

It must be the end of the world as we know it. Although the main reason
I'm attending is Joe, not the Bulldogs. My loyalty lies in
friendship
and comradely, not in pop music or football rivalries.
So there.

Exactly!
(They do have ESPN2, right?)

Yes, thank you Reed for giving my priority system a much needed kick in
the
pants. I apologize. Again.
Okay, so, I spent the day of the evening of the
not-shower thinking
of comebacks with which to hit Reed if (and when I say "if," I mean
"when") he grieved Chris about his questionable friendship loyalty over
the Dawgs and R.E.M. (They were easy -- Reed isn't a big college
football fan, he didn't have tickets R.E.M, and on the subject of
friendship loyalty, where's HIS to his BEST FRIEND Chris?) And
then I
spent the early evening of the evening of the not-shower driving around
trying to find Donna's sister's friend's house, culminating in a bit of
a panic since the not-shower began at 7:30 and kickoff began at 7:45
and it was getting dangerously close to 7:45.
And when I arrived, after walking past the catering
van and into
the beautiful house with elegant silver settings and chafing dishes and
candles and wine and basically the looks of a really REALLY nice
wedding reception, I realized that a red and black college football
game was really going to stick out uncomfortably. And when I saw
the
game on on the huge television set in the middle of the party area, I
was in awkward discomfort -- even moreso when some big guy asked me if
I wanted the game on and suspiciously asked me what team I was pulling
for. "Georgia," I quickly forcefully replied without thinking,
and
then he was all welcoming, and I suddenly felt much better that this
tasteless viewing box wouldn't suddenly arbitrarily get shut down in
favor of the party.
